The arithmetic, not the list
Everyone knows what goes in a bag. What people get wrong is how much of it. Eleven nights does not mean eleven t-shirts, and a washing machine turns a month into a week.
So this generates counts rather than a generic checklist. Clothing scales with the trip until laundry caps it at about seven days, and stops scaling entirely past the point where a bag stops closing. Everything else keys off the climate and the kind of trip.
The checklist is deliberately short on gadgets and long on documents, because a forgotten charger costs fifteen pounds at the airport and a passport with five months left on it costs you the trip.
